Miami Seaquarium

is located ten minutes from downtown Miami on beautiful Virginia Key, offers visitors hours of fun – and it’s educational too. Across 38 landscaped acres, the marine life entertainment park provides a fun-filled mix of exhibits, shows, attractions, food and shopping opportunities that have made it a Miami institution.

Whale & Dolphin Show

Lolita the Killer Whale along with her Pacific white-sided dolphin companions provide insight into the grace, beauty and intelligence of these marine mammals.

Lolita has been part of the Miami Seaquarium family for almost 40 years. She plays an important role in educating the public about the need to conserve marine species.

More than 75,000 school children and 500,000 guests visit Miami Seaquarium each year to learn about Lolita and the other residents of the sea.

Flipper Show

TV and movie star Flipper takes center stage in this dolphin show in lagoon that served as film location for much of the popular 1960s television show of the same name.

Seal and Sea Lion Show

Located under the famous Golden Dome, this show is lots of fun as the seal and sea lion stars show off their athletic and comedic abilities.

Top Deck Dolphin Show

Atlantic bottlenose dolphins are featured in this show, where they show off their aerial and natural athletic abilities.

Discovery Bay

This mangrove habitat is home to twenty-six Nile Crocodiles, the white tailed deer, rescued and rehabilitated sea turtles, indigenous fish and rays, alligators and a host of native wild birds – herons, egrets and ibis.

Manatee Presentation

Miami Seaquarium is one of three institutions in the state of Florida authorized to rescue, rehabilitate and release Manatees. This presentation provides guests with an opportunity to learn about this fascinating and highly endangered animal.

Shark Presentation

Animal care specialists feed 200-pound nurse sharks while explaining about the different species of shark that exist around the world in this daily presentation.

Tropical Wings Exhibit

Home to the all-new Stingray Touch Pool, this exhibit allows park guests to have an up-close look of graceful Southern and Cow-nose Stingrays as well as view exotic birds that are indigenous to the rapidly depleting rainforests of the world.

Food and gift outlets

Food and gift outlets are located throughout the park for guest convenience. Menus range from salads and sandwiches to pizza, frozen yogurt, hot dogs and hamburgers, nachos, soft drinks, beer and wine-based frozen margaritas, pina coladas and daiquiris. The gift shops offer a wide selection of unusual gifts, film, tee shirts, toys, games, plush animals, art objects and more.

DOLPHIN HARBOR AT MIAMI SEAQUARIUM:

There’s no greater thrill than getting in the water with these friendly, intelligent and graceful mammals. Two different dolphin interaction programs are offered at Dolphin Harbor. Both programs feature 30 minutes in the water as well as an in-classroom educational presentation and admission to Miami Seaquarium.


The Dolphin Odyssey program includes a deep-water interaction with a dolphin, including a ride with the dolphin across the pool. The Dolphin Encounter, great for families, is a shallow water program where the participants try their hands at training a dolphin. Both programs are offered daily. Reservations are required.
